Don’t let a travel related illness get in the way of enjoying your overseas holiday. Before you leave Australia, we recommend a travel health check at Newtown Medical Centre. We offer personalised advice and information on how to reduce your risk of illness while overseas, as well as vaccinations against the most common travel related diseases and infections.
Before visiting certain countries, immunisations may be required to protect you from diseases you may encounter. In fact, routine health check-ups are necessary and required as a condition to enter certain countries.
We recommend consulting your doctor up to 8 weeks prior to travelling as some immunisations require a course of treatment over several weeks. We have the most common travel vaccinations stored on site at our medical centre and are one of the few accredited practices in Geelong to offer the Yellow Fever Vaccination. We also have vaccinations for Bali, Thailand, India, South America and many other countries around the world.
