We understand the current Coronavirus crisis is difficult for everyone. However, we are all here to look after you during this time.
We can arrange a phone consultation appointment with your doctor as the first point of contact. Phone consultations are fully covered by Medicare.
Then if needed, we can arrange a face to face appointment in a controlled, safe environment. There will be a fee for face to face consultations, partly rebateable from Medicare as per our normal billing practices.
If you have any concerns about your health or wellbeing please don’t hesitate to call our reception staff on 5221 5044.
We have increased our capacity for appointments to make sure that you have easy access to our GPs.
If you have symptoms of:
FEVER? BREATHING DIFFICULTIES? COUGH? HEADACHE? RUNNY NOSE? SORE THROAT?
Have you had POTENTIAL CONTACT with someone with confirmed Coronavirus?
MELBOURNE HOT SPOTS – Have you travelled to, or had contact with people from, the “hotspot” areas? (See https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus-covid-19-daily-update for more information)
Please let reception know when you are booking your appointment and inform your GP when you are having your phone consultation.
We are here to help, it might just be a little different to how things normally run but we will continue to support you and deliver the same level of quality care you have always received at Newtown Medical Centre.
