I have decided, with great sadness, that I will cease my clinical practice from the end of June this year. This will mark 41 years at Newtown Medical Centre. Although I will no longer be seeing patients, I will not completely retire as I will continue my Medical Advisory work with both TAC and Worksafe, where I have recently been appointed Medical and Recovery Director. I will see many of you over the next few months to discuss this further, but all the doctors at Newtown Medical Centre, many of whom you know well already, are ready to continue your care after my departure from the practice.
It has been a great privilege to be so closely involved in all your lives, some for a few years, but most for much longer, and it will be our personal connection and friendship that I will greatly miss. Thank you for placing your trust in me. I wish you well for the future.
Hugh Seward.
We will be sad to see Hugh go but we wish him well in his new ventures.
