Rachel grew up in Hobart before moving to Brisbane to pursue a science degree. She completed her medical training in Geelong, and has called Geelong home for over a decade.
Rachel has always been drawn to a wide variety of areas within medicine, which initially led to commencing training in Emergency Medicine. She eventually commenced and completed specialty training in General Practice, and enjoys the relationships formed caring for people from birth throughout all stages of life. She commenced working at Newtown Medical Centre in 2021.
Rachel also has works with the Geelong Cats as a doctor for the VFL team, and sits on the board for Healthy Minds Geelong. Her primary interests centre around health at any size, as well as preventive and lifestyle medicine through the lifespan.
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, including 4 animals, and staying active running.
Some areas of care that Rach provides include: Health for young families, particularly infants, LGBTQI patient care, Lifestyle and preventive medicine, Concussion Management, Adolescent health, Sexual and reproductive health and Men’s health
Currently Rachel is unable to accept new patients requiring care for eating disorders.
