At Newtown Medical Centre, we know that being able to access care when you need it is essential. We aim to provide timely appointments while also supporting continuity of care with your regular GP. To help manage this, some of our GPs may pause accepting new patients from time to time—this ensures better access for existing patients and allows us to provide consistent, high-quality care.
We offer a range of appointment options to suit your needs and circumstances:
- Regular, non-urgent appointments for general health, reviews, and ongoing care
- On-the-day appointments for more urgent concerns
- Appointments triaged by our nursing team to prioritise care when it’s most needed
- Telehealth appointments via phone or video, offering convenient access when you can’t attend in person
While our preference is always to connect you with your usual GP, your health and wellbeing remain our top priority. If urgent attention is needed, we’ll ensure you’re seen at the right time—whether by your regular doctor or one of our skilled and caring GPs.
