Rachel grew up in Hobart before moving to Brisbane to pursue a science degree, majoring in biomedicine ( neuroscience).She completed her medical training at Deakin University in Geelong, and has called Geelong home for over a decade.
Rachel has always been drawn to a wide variety of areas within medicine, which initially led to training in Emergency Medicine. She eventually switched to General Practice and completed her specialty training in this. Rachel enjoys the relationships formed with her regular patients, and caring for people from birth throughout all stages of life. She commenced working at Newtown Medical Centre in 2022.
Rachel also works with the Geelong Football Club, previously as the VFL doctor and currently as the AFLW doctor.

In her spare time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, including her 4 animals. She is an active runner and enjoys competing in local running events.
